Mental Health Counseling

A licensed mental health counselor is available to assist students with a variety of challenges.  These issues can often make it difficult for students to stay focused while attending school.  The main goal of mental health counseling revolves around goal-setting. Your mental health counselor collaborates with you to pinpoint your objectives and the actionable steps necessary to achieve them, thereby offering assistance to address your problems.

  • The mental health counselor offers therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, as well as referrals to local health professionals.
  • Group therapy sessions are conducted on a secure platform that adheres to stringent HIPAA privacy regulations.
  • These counseling services are provided at no cost to all registered students at Windward Community College.
  • Students eligible for these services must be living in Hawai‘i.
  • To schedule an appointment for individual or group counseling, please contact us at 808-235-7393 or send an email to dkahale3@hawaii.edu.
