Special Early Admissions Programs
Windward Community College offers educational opportunities for high school students through our Early Admissions Programs (https://windward.hawaii.edu/programs-of-study/pre-college-programs/early-admit-programs). These programs enable students to begin their college studies while attending high school.
- Early College - Enables high school students to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously at designated high school campuses.
- Running Start - A partnership between the Department of Education and the University of Hawai‘i that allows Hawai‘i public high school (and charter school) students to attend college classes while earning dual credit toward both their high school requirements and college degree.
- Early Admit - Allows high school and homeschool students to enroll in college classes at Windward Community College while completing their high school education.
