The Landscape and Nursery Technician program provides students with foundational training for employment in Hawai‘i’s landscape and nursery industries. This 13–14 credit program emphasizes hands-on learning in plant care, equipment operation, and sustainable horticultural practices. Graduates gain practical skills and technical knowledge to support careers in landscaping and plant nurseries.
- Evaluate nursery and landscape systems and business plans
- Determine suitable horticultural practices for specific nursery and landscape applications.
- Determine sustainable irrigation and maintenance programs for specific locations in Hawai’i.
- Demonstrate professional and safe work practice standards set by OSHA, ANSI, and ISA.
